In what ways can Scott Pilgrim vs. The World be considered postmodern?

  1. This is a much better essay Jess. It is bursting with examples and its opening is far more focussed as you identify what makes this film differ from a modernist text. However it still needs a sense of YOU in it. By that I mean the examiner wants to see your opinions on WHY these intertextual have been included and whether you think these constant references to PoMo are a good or bad thing (the film was a huge flop and lost millions as audiences didn't seem ready for this style of film).

Again you don't include a conclusion which is never a good thing. It's a bit like telling a joke but missing out the punchline

In terms of examples for the exam you'll need to select maybe one or two key scenes which you feel best show the films PoMo features.
